     Title: Appointment of Overseas Player

Barry Rhodes, a 22 yr old South African, has been appointed as the overseas player for the 2009/2010 season. Barry has had a successful English summer playing in Essex.  He is a right hand top order bat and right hand medium-fast bowler. 

Barry Rhodes has been appointed as the Johsonville Cricket Club overseas player for the 2009-2010 season.  Barry is a right hand top order batsman and a right hand medium-fast bowler.  He will play for the Senior Men and assist with their training.  He will also coach the Senior Women's side, work as the Cricket Development Officer, a programme managed by Cricket Wellington, to grow the game in the local clubs and schools and be available for one on one coaching for junior players. 

Barry is aged 22 and has been selected in South African U17 and U19 squads in the past.  He has been playing and coaching in Essex during the English summer where he has had a successful season.  He is a Level 2 coach and has 3 years experience coaching juniors and secondary school teams in both South Africa and England.

Barry will be a welcome addition to the Johnsonville Club.
