Hawkes Bay Cricket Camps

Four teams participated in the Hawkes Bay cricket camps this summer.  A great time was had by all who attended. Here we see the Year 6 team celebrating the end of a successful tournament.

CHURTON PARK Christmas Cricket Camp

The JCC held a very sucessful camp on 20 and 21 December at Alex Moore Park.  New World Churton Park sponsored this event and we are very grateful for their support. All those participating enjoyed the two days and it was a first for some to try out the Farnboro Centre when the rain came on the Friday.  Rick Mudgway was ably supported by Ben Hilder, David Hudson and Gemma Edgecombe with running the days.  The participants and support crew lined up for a photo at the end of the second day.

Firebirds Club Day

A Firebirds Club Day was held at Nairnville Park for JCC junior cricketers on Wednesday 10 October.  Our own Firebird, Luke Woodcock, was on hand to help out with the softball section.The winners of the hard and soft ball sections go on to represent Johnsonville at the Basin Reserve on 13 January.  Check out the rest of the photos

Tournament information

The club endeavours to provide as many opportunities as possible to play cricket and enjoy the game.
Some relish the extra chance to develop their skills at a more competitive level, others simply like to play for the love of it. If you wish to participate in tournaments please tell your coach.

2011-2012 Prizegiving

The junior prize giving was held at the Johnsonville Rugby Clubrooms on 2 April. It went very well and again we had great support from all the parents and their families. We had two sessions comprising Softball grade teams and then all the Hardball grade teams, a total of 21 teams were on hand to receive their player certificates, MVP and MIP awards. Congratulations to all the winners - a full list of prizewinners can be found here.

Both the 2011 Devon & Patterson Flooring Premier and Colts teams were recognized for winning their respective grades with an individual trophy each.

The Charlie Temel Memorial trophy was awarded to joint winners Phoebe Caldeiro and Hinewairere (Paris) Sollitt-Mackey.

There were two unbeaten teams during the season, the Year 3 Blair Wright Group (Softball) team coached by Phil Moir and the Year 5 Northpac ITM (Hardball) team coached by Kevin McAlister. Well done!
