Luke Woodcock has capped off an excellent summer by being selected in the New Zealand A squad who are playing in an Emerging Players tournament in Australia in August 2010.

Wellington Firebirds’ left-hander Luke Woodcock became Wellington Cricket’s all-time single season highest first-class run-scorer during his innings of 76 against the Canterbury Wizards in Rangiora over the weekend.

Woodcock moved past the single season run-mark of 888 set by Robert Vance in the 1988/89 season when he reached 54 on the opening day’s play on Saturday.

Luke Woodcock played his 100th game for Johnsonville Senior Men on Saturday 30 January against Karori.
