Welcome to the Johnsonville Cricket Club

Established in 1886, JCC is one of the oldest cricket clubs in the Wellington region.

The club is based at Alex Moore Park, Johnsonville where it has clubrooms and a new 4 lane practice nets facility upon the top level.

Following almagamation with the Newlands Cricket Club, JCC is now home to cricket players and fanatics in a wide area of the Wellington North region, comprising of Churton Park, Newlands and Johnsonville. It covers a community which is diverse in culture and origin and is the face of the area for New Zealand's favourite summer game.

Past and present players to remember

The club has had a rich and successful history. In fact 125th Jubilee celebrations are in the planning for early 2011.

The club has bred talented cricketers like Jonathan Millmow (Journalist for the Dominion Post and representative for New Zealand) and more recently Luke Woodcock (currently a key figure in the Wellington Firebirds). Sian Ruck (Senior Women's Captain) was part of the White Ferns team who made the final at the Twenty/20 World Cup in England in 2009.
